Task 3:

Task 3: Creating your own Voki's and Photo-stories:

Part 1:

  • For the first part of todays lesson you are going to pretend to be News Reporters.
  • You are going to use all the information that you gathered last week during our interview with our local historian to help us when we are making our voki.
  • You can also use the pictures that you took the first week as a guide to inform what you'll say on your Voki.
  • Our pictures and our Voki will be very important for next weeks class so make sure you work as hard as you possibly can.

Things to Remember:

When Making your Voki:

  • Make sure that everybody contributes to the voki.
  • When one person is talking everyone else must be silent.
  • You must speak clearly and slowly into your laptop.

Here's an example of a Voki for you to look at.

Part 2:

  • This weeks task is a little more challenging than previous tasks because there are two aspects to it.
  • For the second part of our task we are going to create our very own photo-story.
  • We are going to use the pictures that we took the first week during our fieldtrip and the vokis that we made earlier in the week for a photo-story.

Who can remember how to make a phtostory from when we last did them?

For those of you who have forgotten how to create a photostory using Microsoft Photo Story 3, below is a little reminder.

Make sure to follow the checklist when creating your Photo - story

  1. Make sure the information you are using is relevant for your groups topic.
  2. Do not make your Photo Story too long or people will lose interest in it.
  3. Make sure your images are relevant to your groups specific topic.
Safe your work as often as you can.

Top Tip:
